Our Philosophy

We are creative people who are asked, in our work, to lay the most vulnerable parts of ourselves on display... to immerse ourselves in fictional circumstances and accept fictional relationships without question.  The entire process of acting is an act of trust.  That kind of trust must be developed in an environment without judgement or destructive completions.  That is why, at The Actors' Place, the focus is on meeting every actor where they are in their own growth and taking them to the next step.  Each actor is compared to where she/he was in the last class not compared to other actors in the class... because acting is in the doing.  We grow through constant exploration and challenge.
