About The Actors' Place, Inc.

CORE ACTOR SKILLS

Monologue Course

As an actor, you have a resume, headshot, and demo reel to show casting or potential representation. They may also give you a cold read to see what you can do with minimal preparation.  A monologue, however, shows representation or casting what you can do if you have all the time you need.

Monologues are essential

It's all about the long haul

Some people are fine actors but need more time or information than a cold read can provide.  A monologue, selected because it resonates with you, worked and massaged over time - sometimes many years - so that it grows with you and becomes your intimate partner through your acting voyage... such a monologue can be a real powerhouse with enormous depth and nuance.

Whether you want a monologue for college or regional theatre auditions, casting directors, agents, or for your own artistic growth, this course can give you a new showpiece that puts a spotlight on your skills. (Private coaching is also available.)
